About Me

Welcome to Second Grade!  My name is Katherine Peel and I am excited for this school year.  I joined Weatherford ISD in 2017.  I have 10 years of experience in the classroom. I have taught one year in 5th grade and the rest I have taught in 2nd grade.

I received my Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from Tarleton State University.  I also have a minor in Biology.  Science and Math are two of my favorite subjects! Reading is right up there, though! You’ll always find a book in my hands. 

I am a hands-on learner, and I love to do experiments and have fun! I try to teach to every learning style, because after all, we all learn differently.

My favorite thing about being a teacher is that I get to be here for everyday successes, whether they are big or small.  I love watching my students grasp a concept and truly understand the meaning of what they are learning. I am really excited about working with your child this year!
